Lux Says Villas Can Be Built Immediately Once Kinnara Transfers Construction Funds

Lux Property Group has stated that in its ongoing dispute with Kinnara (K-I-N-N-A-R-A) over the Marina Bay City Lombok project, it remains fully ready, willing, and able to commence villa construction for Kinnara’s clients immediately — once the required construction funds are transferred.

According to Lux, there is no construction delay on its side.

The only delay, Lux says, has been Kinnara’s failure — following its buyout from the project last year — to hand over the construction monies that were collected from clients specifically for the purpose of building villas.


Construction Timelines Once Funds Are Received

Lux outlined clear timelines for when construction would begin:

  • Beachside Project
    Construction would typically commence within 30–45 days of construction funds being received.

  • Resort Side Project
    Construction would begin immediately once:

    • the relevant permits for that estate are finalised, and

    • construction funds are released.

Lux says these timelines are standard and achievable, provided funding is transferred as required.


“We Will Not Build Villas That Have Not Been Paid For”

Lux reiterated that it cannot and will not construct villas that have not been paid for.

The company rejected any suggestion that it should:

  • finance construction for another company’s clients, or

  • absorb costs for funds it never received.

Lux stated that it believes Kinnara has attempted to deflect responsibility by:

  • Gaslighting clients

  • Misrepresenting the true cause of construction delays

  • Attempting to shift blame onto Lux

  • Pressuring Lux to build villas without receiving funds

“None of these tactics change the facts,” Lux said.
“Construction money must be transferred before construction can lawfully and responsibly commence.”


Media Pressure and Threats Do Not Change Financial Reality

Lux further emphasised that:

  • Paying intermediaries

  • Running media attacks

  • Making regulatory or legal threats

  • Attempting reputational damage

do not alter the basic commercial reality that construction requires funding.

Lux said it will continue to operate under strict financial and legal discipline and will not be intimidated into breaching those principles.


Regulatory Intervention May Be Required

Lux concluded by stating that if Kinnara does not voluntarily transfer the construction funds it collected from clients, then regulators and authorities may need to intervene to ensure the money is properly released.

This, Lux says, is the only way Kinnara’s clients can finally have their villas built.

“The solution is simple,” Lux said.
“Hand over the construction funds, and the villas get built.”
